Animal Lives and Life Cycles: Let's Investigate (Science Essentials)

This title supports the following learning objectives for Key Stage 2 Science. Students should be taught to: Recognise that living things can be grouped in a variety of ways. Identify that animals get nutrition from what they eat. Construct and interpret food chains, identifying producers, predators and prey. Identify how animals are adapted to suit their environment. Describe the life cycles of a mammal, an amphibian, an insect and a bird. Recognise that living things produce offspring of the same kind, but normally offspring vary and are not identical to their parents.
