“I thought your sister was allergic to animals?” Amy suddenly asked me.
(As well as being super smart she also has a very good memory.)
“Yes, she is. But I have an excellent plan to get around that problem,” I explained…
The eleventh instalment in the inventive, playful and utterly charming Tom Gates series is the funniest yet; an ideal read for boys and girls.
Tom Gates’ focus is not on school work. His teachers are all too beady-eyed for his liking. Doodling and biscuits are far more important to him; and annoying his grumpy sister, Delia, too.
Most importantly, Tom has a new excellent plan. He is going to look after his friend’s pet and keep it a secret from his family. But that is just the beginning; he has another excellent plan too.
Tom is going to make his band, Dogzombies, the most popular band in the whole world.
How is he going to do this? Easy. He is going to:
1. Write more songs. (Not about teachers.)
2. Make a SPECTACULAR music video. (Easy peasy.)
3. Get some sleep.
4. Annoy Delia. (Nothing to do with DOGZOMBIES, but always FUN.)
5. Get to the top of the charts and make the whole planet WORSHIP Dogzombies.
“Very Enjoyable and funny…perfect for fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Big Nate.” – The Guardian, reviewing The Brilliant World of Tom Gates.
